FreeserviceBoxes
If you are in the process ofserviceor if you
are planning a move, you probably know how expensive boxes can be. You
could probably spend several hundred dollars buying new boxes. Instead of
buying new, check out these sources for freeserviceboxes.
Friends & Neighbors
You'd be surprised how many boxes you can get
from friends. I probably have 20 boxes sitting in my attic right now. If
you only get a couple of boxes each from half a dozen friends, you have 12
boxes.
Neighborhood Stores
If you frequent any small businesses, you
should ask if they have any extra boxes. Chances are that they receive
boxes all the time and probably just throw them away or recycle them. Ask
your local doughnut shop, convenience store or even your veterinarian if
they have any boxes. You'd be surprised you might walk out with a couple
dozen for free.
Dumpsters
As a last resort, you can check dumpsters for
boxes. Swing by a few and you might even find some free boxes just laying
next to the trash bin, no dumpster diving required. I would recommend that
you check the boxes carefully for insects before putting them into your
car.
